Affiliate disclosure

The Soak Atlas is free to use and is supported by advertising and affiliate links.

Some spring pages have a "Stay nearby" and "Tours nearby" box with links to booking sites such as Booking.com, GetYourGuide and Viator. Right now these are plain search links and we earn nothing from them. Once we join those companies' partner programs, the same links may become affiliate links that pay us a commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. This page will say so. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" for search engines.

As an Amazon Associate we may earn from qualifying purchases if we link to products in future.

Money never affects what we list or how we describe it. No spring, resort or operator pays to be listed or ranked, and fees, seasons, rules and status come only from the cited sources. The booking boxes search the general area; we haven't reviewed the hotels or tours they return.

We don't show display ads at the moment. Questions: contact us.

Before you soak

Information only, not safety advice. Conditions, access, fees and closures change without notice, and water temperature and quality are not monitored by us. You soak at your own risk: check the official status link and posted rules on site before you go. We accept no liability for injury, loss or trespass.

In Yellowstone, “Burns from thermal features are a common cause of serious injury and death in the park” and “it is illegal to swim or bathe in any water that is entirely of thermal origin.” We exclude springs inside Yellowstone, Lassen Volcanic and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes national parks.
